Leading European packaging manufacturer Coveris has been recognised by the European Flexographic Industry Association in the EFIA Awards 2020. Celebrating excellence in the flexographic print industry, Coveris was awarded Gold in the ‘Technical Innovation – Printer’ category. Coveris was also the recipient of a Silver, two Bronze and two Highly Commended awards in a successful evening for the company.
The prestigious EFIA Awards provide an opportunity to showcase quality, innovation and technical development in flexographic print. Following the postponement of the awards ceremony due to take place in March, award winners were announced on Thursday 17th September in a virtual ceremony.
Coveris proudly received Gold in the ‘Technical Innovation – Printer’ category with a linerless label featuring a Tesco British beef meatball design. Demonstrating advancement in linerless print technology, Coveris delivers a perfect solution for continuous four colour half-tone printing, allowing more complex four colour backgrounds to be printed seamlessly. This new offering mitigates existing constraints for flexographic print on linerless labels and enables greater label design creativity.
Highlighting flexographic print excellence on both self-adhesive and linerless label formats, Coveris also received Silver, Bronze and Highly Commended awards in the ‘Flexo Print on Paper - Narrow 'Web’ category and Bronze and Highly Commended in ‘Flexo Print on Paper – Narrow Web Self-Adhesive’.
