The UK Packaging Award shortlists have been revealed and Coveris has been announced as a finalist in five categories. This is a record number of categories for Coveris in these awards, the industry’s largest celebration of packaging each year in the UK where quality, performance and excellence is recognised.
Coveris is shortlisted for Company of the Year, Investment Project of the Year, Cartonboard Pack of the Year, Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year and Label of the Year. Congratulations to Coveris’ new colleagues at Amberley Labels following its acquisition this week, who are also a finalist in Label of the Year. The shortlisted entries are:
- Company of the Year
- Investment Project of the Year: Pack Positive® Centre
- Cartonboard Pack of the Year: PAVE d’Affinois Luxury Cheese Lovers Advent Calendar
- Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year: PE+
- Label of the Year: LIC Frozen Cocktails
Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts, journalists, retailers and major brand owners, with the winners announced at the UK Packaging Awards 2019 ceremony on Thursday 7th November at Grosvenor House, London. Coveris has already had success this year, winning New Product Award at the Sammies Awards for the development of new M&S sushi packaging which has achieved significant recyclability and weight reduction improvements. Coveris was also recognised for print excellence at the European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) Awards this year, and Gold award winners in three categories as well as Silver in the prestigious ‘Best in Show’ competition.
